Owning a hot tub does not have to be high maintenance. At Arctic Spas® we engineered our tubs to create the easiest and least intimidating hot tub maintenance possible. Our goal at Arctic Spas® is to create the world’s most reliable, economic, and easily operated spa.
Balancing your Water Chemistry
Typically hot tub maintenance requires daily physical maintenance checks to confirm you have properly balanced water. Spa Boy® is a revolutionary advancement in water care as it provides a fully automated system that monitors and helps maintain ideal spa water conditions.
To do this, Spa Boy® uses medical-grade sensors that constantly check the sanitizer levels in your tub while controlling the conversion of salts in the water to provide most of the sanitizer that your family spa requires. Our saltwater system leaves the harsh chemicals behind and provides soft and comfortable water that will be safe for your family. You can then view the data produced from your Spa Boy® on your phone, computer, and tablet from anywhere in the world, leaving the stress out of your hot tub maintenance.
Hot Tub Maintenance Tips
The most efficient hot tub is the best maintained! But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean more work. Arctic Spas® prides itself on keeping the operating costs of your tub as low as one dollar a day.
By keeping up with a sensible and sustainable maintenance plan while utilizing all the technology available you can increase the longevity of your tub. To reap all the benefits and guarantee longevity with your tub proper maintenance is crucial. This is why we created the most innovative hot tubs on the market so you can fully relax in your spa.
If hot tub maintenance still feels overwhelming, we have some tips to make sure this process is simple.
Check your filter regularly as it is a crucial component of any hot tub.
* With reusable filters, it is necessary to rinse the filter cartridges weekly. Every month, and each time the spa is drained for cleaning, clean the cartridges in filter cleaner.
* With Arctic Spas® disposable filters, simply replace the cartridge whenever the spa is drained, or about every three months.

You will need to change your spa water, as detergent residues and dissolved solids from bathing suits and chemicals will gradually accumulate in your spa’s water. Normally, in about three to four months the water will become difficult to balance and should be replaced.
* If using traditional chemicals create a calendar reminder to change your water every three to four months.
* If using Spa Boy® you can get 6 months to two years in between water changes.
Ultimately, at Arctic Spas® we want your new hot tub to be relaxing. With our advanced maintenance tools, we can guarantee that anyone can properly maintain their hot tub, leaving you more time to spend with the people you love.
